Georgia Department of Transportation To Hold A Public Information Open House For P.I. No. T001684 Clayton, Fulton, Douglas, Cobb, Paulding, Cherokee, Polk, Bartow, Floyd, Gordon, Chattooga, Walker, Murray, Whitfield, Catoosa Counties Project Number PTSCO-0023-00-002 On Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the City of Dalton City Hall and Administration Building at 300 W. Waugh Street, Dalton, GA 30720, the Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a Public Information Open House concerning the Atlanta to Chattanooga High Speed Ground Transportation Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). This project proposes to identify a corridor between Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN for which high speed ground transportation improvements may be further evaluated. The purpose of this Public Information Open House is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project. The Open House will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours. There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.
