NOTICE OF PROPOSED SPECIAL USE PERMIT REVIEW Notice is hereby given that the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will conduct a joint public hearing to hear the request of CHRISCO, a Georgia General Partnership. for a special use permit. The request is to consider a proposed Office space and Climate Controlled Storage Warehouse on .278 acres located in the Downtown (C-3) zone district. The subject tract being tax parcel 12-219-37-004 and addressed as 211 West Gordon Street, Dalton, Georgia and is more specifically described as follows: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 219 of the 12th District and 3rd Section of Whitfield County, Georgia, and being City Lots 34, 36, 38, and 40 on Gordon Street in the City of Dalton, and being more particularly described according to a plat prepared by Joseph R. Evans, Georgia Registered Land Surveyor No. 2168, dated February 7, 1992, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin on the south right-of-way of Gordon Street, which point is located in a westerly direction as measured along said right-of-way line a distance of 225 feet from the point of intersection of said right-of-way line and the west right-of-way of Pentz Street; thence South 00 degrees 09 minutes West 121.17 feet to a point; thence South 90 degrees 00 minutes West 49.92 feet to a point; thence North 89 degrees 48 minutes West 49.77 feet to a point; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes East 121.15 feet to a point on the south right-of-way of Gordon Street; thence continuing in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way of Gordon Street South 89 degrees 55 minutes East 100 feet to the point of beginning. The request for a special use permit will be heard at a public hearing conducted by the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Whitfield County Administrative Annex 2, 214 W. King Street, Commissioner’s Chambers, Dalton, Georgia. The Planning Commission will thereafter provide a written recommendation for consideration by the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners.
