
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ALCOHOL/DRUG DEPENDENCY COUNSELING IN WHITFIELD COUNTY
Notice is hereby given that the
Whitfield County Board of Commissioners
will conduct a public hearing to hear the request of Curtis Moore and Randell O’Neal to establish a transitional housing complex including the counseling of alcohol/drug dependency on a site located at 3320 Rauschenberg Road, Dalton, Georgia.
The request is to establish a transitional housing complex for men recently released from prison. The facilities will include counseling of alcohol/drug dependency and is proposed to be constructed on a 10.89-acre site occupied by a church facility owned by Faith Tabernacle of Praise Inc. The subject tract is designated as Whitfield County tax parcel 11-262-03-005, addressed as 3320 Rauschenberg Road, Dalton, Georgia 30721, and is more specifically described as follows:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot No. 262 in the 11 th District and 3 rd Section of Whitfield County, Georgia, being Lot No. 5 of Beaver Creek Subdivision, Phase I, and being more particularly described according to a plat of survey prepared by N.B. DeLoach, Georgia Registered Surveyor No. 1347, dated August 30, 1996, recorded in Plat Cabinet C Slide 1459, Whitfield County, Georgia Land Records, reference to which plat is hereby made and incorporated herein by reference.
The request for a transitional housing complex including the treatment of alcohol/ drug dependency will be heard at a public hearing conducted by the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners on Monday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room in the Whitfield County Administrative Building #2 located at 214 W King Street, Dalton, Georgia. Any person having an interest in this matter is hereby given notice to attend and present said interest.
