PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SECTION 5310, SECTION 5316 AND SECTION 5317 The Georgia Department of Human Services (GDHS) is soliciting applications by region from nonprofit and public bodies interested in applying for funding under the Section 5310/5317 Elderly and Disabled Transportation Program and Section 5316 Job Access Reverse Commute. To assure that the private sector has a fair and timely opportunity to participate in the development of these programs, the Georgia Department of Human Services solicits the private sector's input and participation during the planning process. Any private for profit, non-profit or public body interested in participating in these programs should submit a written notice of intent no later than 15 days from date of this publication. This notice applies to the following counties: DHS Region 1 (Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker, Whitfield) NOTE: GDHS partners with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT)-for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) program. The proposed overall goal and rationale are based upon the GDOT DBE list as well as the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (GADOAS) Registered Vendor List, allowing the inclusion of Small Businesses. Comments on the goals will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this notice.
