NOTICE OF PROPOSED REZONING PUBLIC HEARING The Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for consideration of Tom Price to rezone a tract of land from Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) to General Commercial (C-2). The subject property totals approximately 0.3 acres and is identified as tax parcel 12-159-01-024 according to the Whitfield County Tax Assessor, and is located along the North Bypass. The property is more specifically described as follows: Located in Land Lot Number 159, 12th District, 3rd Section of Whitfield County, Georgia, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an iron pin set located on the eastern line of the North Bypass as shown on survey of Cagle Land Surveying Group, dated January 6, 2017, project number 121607; thence continuing North 35° 42' 33 East 119.95 feet to a point; thence North 31° 59' 07 East 40 feet to a point; thence leaving the eastern line of the North Bypass South 43° 33' 33 East 75 feet to a point; thence South 31° 59' 10 West 40 feet to a point; thence South 46° 26' 32 West 146.61 feet to a point in the eastern property line of Bolden; thence along the eastern property line of Bolden North 14° 55' 16 West 60 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.3 Acres, plus or minus, as shown by said survey of Cagle Land Surveying Group. Together with that certain ingress and egress easement shown by said survey of Cable Land Surveying Group; to find the true point of beginning, begin at southern line of Chattanooga Road, 70 feet West, plus or minus, from an iron pin set at the most northern corner of the Thomas Price tract, shown on said survey, the true point of beginning; thence leaving the southern line of Chattanooga Road South 44° 33' 15 West 55.80 feet to a point; thence South 77° 19' 43 West 114.82 feet to a point; thence South 29° 25' 23 West 106.90 feet to a point; thence North 43° 33' 33 West 31.37 feet to a point; thence North 29° 25' 23 East 111.05 feet to a point, thence North 77° 19' 43 East 119.33 feet to a point; thence North 44° 33' 15 East 8.76 feet to a point located on the southern line of Chattanooga Road; thence North 82° 40' 52 East 48.59 feet to the true point of beginning. At the public hearing, comments from any person in regard to the rezoning request will be heard, and thereafter the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will deliberate and make a recommendation to the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners as to its recommendation for rezoning of said lands in Whitfield County, Georgia. Any opponent to this proposed rezoning action shall file a written disclosure statement with the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission a minimum of five (5) days prior to the public hearing, concerning financial or material political contributions totaling $250 or more, made to one or more members of the Mayor and Council in the last two (2) years.
