NOTICE OF PROPOSED REZONING PUBLIC HEARING The Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for consideration of Cecil Headrick to rezone a tract of land from Rural Residential (R-5) to General Commercial (C-2). The subject property totals approximately 1.4 acres and is identified as tax parcel 09-252-01-101 according to the Whitfield County Tax Assessor, and is located at 605 Law Drive. The property is more specifically described as follows: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 252 of the 9th District and 3rd Section of Whitfield County, Georgia, and being parts of Lots 1 and 2 of Block F of the Talley Subdivision and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the intersection of the right-of-ways of Law Street and Tibbs Bridge Road thence north 69 degrees 16 minutes 58 seconds east 100.7 feet to an iron stake; thence south 11 degrees 0 minutes east 155.45 feet to an iron stake; thence south 77 degrees 7 minutes 26 seconds west 99.33 feet along a chain link fence to the east side of the right-of-way of Law Street to an iron post; thence north 11 degrees 0 minutes west 141.70 feet to an iron stake and the point of beginning. At the public hearing, comments from any person in regard to the rezoning request will be heard, and thereafter the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will deliberate and make a recommendation to the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners as to its recommendation for rezoning of said lands in Whitfield County, Georgia. Any opponent to this proposed rezoning action shall file a written disclosure statement with the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission a minimum of five (5) days prior to the public hearing, concerning financial or material political contributions totaling $250 or more, made to one or more members of the Mayor and Council in the last two (2) years. Members of the public are invited to attend this hearing scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Whitfield County Administrative Annex 2, 214 West King Street, Commissioner's Chambers, Dalton, Georgia, at 7:00 p. m. and make their comments.
