NOTICE OF PROPOSED REZONING PUBLIC HEARING The Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for consideration of Hiren Patel to rezone a tract of land from Estate Residential (R-1) and Low Density Single Family Residential (R-2) to High Density Residential (R-7). The subject property totals approximately (7.92) acres and is identified as tax parcel 12-159-01-025,026,046 according to the Whitfield County Tax Assessor, and is located at 805 N. Tibbs Road Dalton, Ga. 30720. The property is more specifically described as follows: A certain tract or parcel of land tying or being in Land Lot 159, 12th District, 3rd Section, Whitfield County, Georgia, and being more particularly described as Lots 73, 74, and 75 of the Willowdale Subdivision, as shown on said plat, recorded in Plat Cabinet A, Slide 26 in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Whitfield County, Georgia. Said property is approximately 7.792 acres in size. Less and Except a 50 by 197.3 foot strip previously conveyed from the northwest corner of Lot 75 in said Willowdale Subdivision; such strip is described in Deed Book 3992, Page 282 in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Whitfield County, Georgia, and shown as Tax Parcel 12-159-01-063 in the records of the Whitfield County Tax Assessor. At the public hearing, comments from any person in regard to the rezoning request will be heard, and thereafter the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will deliberate and make a recommendation to the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners as to its recommendation for rezoning of said lands in Whitfield County, Georgia. Any opponent to this proposed rezoning action shall file a written disclosure statement with the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission a minimum of five (5) days prior to the public hearing, concerning financial or material political contributions totaling $250 or more, made to one or more members of the Mayor and Council in the last two (2) years. Members of the public are invited to attend this hearing scheduled for Monday, January 22, 2018, at the Whitfield County Administrative Annex 2, 214 West King Street, Commissioner's Chambers, Dalton, Georgia, at 6:00 p.m. and make their comments.
