NOTICE OF PROPOSED REZONING PUBLIC HEARING The Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for consideration of Judy Pair to rezone a tract of land from General Commercial (C-2) Rural Residential (R-5). The subject property totals approximately (0.76) acres and is identified as tax parcel 13-153-02-001 according to the Whitfield County Tax Assessor, and is located at 4045 S. Dixie Highway Dalton, Ga. 30721. The property is more specifically described as follows: A certain tract or parcel of land lying or being in Land Lot 153, 13th Section, Whitfield County, Georgia, and described as follows: Beginning at a point north 89 degrees 11 minutes 32 seconds east along the south right of way of Sherwood Drive and 119.79 feet from the southeast intersection of Sherwood Drive and U.S. Highway 41; thence from said Point of Beginning running along said south right of way of Sherwood Drive a distance of 91.04 feet; thence leaving said right of way of Sherwood Drive and running south 79 degrees 48 minutes 08 seconds west a distance of 54.28 feet; thence running north 89 degrees 55 minutes 29 seconds west a distance of 107.70 feet to a point in the west right of way of U.S. Highway 41; thence running along the west right of way of said U.S. Highway 41 north 01 degrees 10 minutes 51 seconds east a distance of 129.76 feet; thence leaving said right of way of U.S. Highway 41 and running north 85 degrees 30 minutes 27 seconds east a distance of 121.80 feet; thence running north 0degrees 15 minutes 28 seconds west a distance of 57.71 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said property contains a total of 0.76 acres. At the public hearing, comments from any person in regard to the rezoning request will be heard, and thereafter the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will deliberate and make a recommendation to the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners as to its recommendation for rezoning of said lands in Whitfield County, Georgia. Any opponent to this proposed rezoning action shall file a written disclosure statement with the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission a minimum of five (5) days prior to the public hearing, concerning financial or material political contributions totaling $250 or more, made to one or more members of the Mayor and Council in the last two (2) years. Members of the public are invited to attend this hearing scheduled for Monday, January 22, 2018, at the Whitfield County Administrative Annex 2, 214 West King Street, Commissioner's Chambers, Dalton, Georgia, at 6:00 p.m. and make their comments.
