NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION/ZONING RECOMMENDATION The Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for consideration of a zoning classification of Low Density Single Family Residential (R-2) requested by Jonathan & Kimberly Beam in an annexation application of the following contiguous property (parcel #12-311-15-015) containing a total of .43 acres into the City of Dalton, Georgia. The property is addressed as 1907 Mountain Brook Drive (Lot 139), Dalton, Georgia and is more specifically described as follows: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot No. 311, 12th District, 3rd Section, Whitfield County, Georgia, and being designated as Lot 139 of Valley Brook Subdivision according to Plat No. 6, of said subdivision of file in Plat Book 9, Page 20 in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Whitfield County, Georgia to which reference is hereby made and included in this description, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin located on the south right of way of Mountain Brook Drive 127.92 feet southwest of the southwest corner of the intersection of said Mountain Brook Drive and Cascade Way; thence south 26 degrees east 175 feet to an iron pin; thence south 64 degrees west 110 feet to an iron pin; thence north 24 degrees 23 minutes west 175.45 feet to an iron pin on the edge of the right of way of said Mountain Brook Drive; then north 64 degrees east 105 feet to the point of beginning: At the public hearing comments from any person in regard to the requested zoning classification request will be heard, and thereafter the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission will deliberate and make a recommendation to the Mayor and Council of the city of Dalton, Georgia as to its recommendation for zoning of said lands proposed to be annexed into the city of Dalton, Georgia. Any opponent to these proposed annexation/zoning actions shall file a written disclosure statement with the Dalton-Whitfield County Planning Commission a minimum of five (5) days prior to the public hearing, concerning financial or material political contributions totaling $250 or more, made to one or more members of the Mayor and Council in the last two years. Members of the public are invited to attend this hearing scheduled for Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Whitfield County Administrative Annex 2, 214 West King Street, Commissioners Chambers, Dalton, Georgia, at 7:00 p. m. and make their comments.
